We are currently seeking to hire a fully qualified accountant with a determined focus on a professional career for the post of an Audit Manager to form part of a team of auditors whose role is to audit the financial statements of a number of Maltese companies. The post calls for a highly organized and motivated individual. The ideal candidate must have at least 4 years of experience in an audit environment. The selected candidate will be responsible for a portfolio of clients, whilst reporting to the partner in charge. Good command of both written and spoken English is a must. Speaking and understanding Italian will be considered as an asset.
Qualification
| A graduate from the University of Malta (Honours or Masters in Accountancy) or a holder of an ACCA degree |
| Holder of a warrant to practice Accountancy in Malta as well as holding a practicing Certificate in Auditing |
Duties
| Managing a team of 4 to 6 people |
| Ensuring compliance with accounting policies |
| Interacting with the firm’s directors, staff and clients |
| Supervising staff on a daily basis |
| Working with the senior auditors and other staff to plan the audits of a number of Maltese companies |
| Reviewing of financial statements, assessing accounts for accuracy and completion and report on findings |
| Drafting of audited financial statements |
| Attending and participating in meetings with the clients |
| Completing the audit report |
| Planning work to ensure deadlines are met |
| Liaising with other departments within the firm |
