DQR Group, which is a major player in the blockchain sector will be establishing its headquarters in Malta.  The company said it will create around 200 jobs in Malta.  It currently employs around 65 employees and has invested €6 million in operations in Malta based in two offices in Sliema Malta.  DQR Group is a conglomerate of DQR, DQR-X, DQR-GIVE, and DQR-Services, with well-established partners Genesis Mining, Blockchain Consulting, Logos Fund, and Draglet.

This is the third company in the blockchain sector that in the space of a few days has announced that it will move its operations to Malta after Binance and OKEx.

In February of this year, Malta has announced plans to set up a new authority called the Malta Digital Innovation Authority.  The Authority will be able to certify companies which wish to make use of DLT platforms for financial and other purposes.  Malta is fast becoming the jurisdiction of choice for Distributed Ledger Technology companies throughout the world.
