As part of the measures taken by various Government authorities in response to the Coronavirus outbreak, the FIAU has, on the 16 March 2020, announced that it will be granting subject persons an extension up to 4 May, 2020 at 17:00 hrs to file their REQ, that was originally due by the 1st April 2020.  The FIAU has also announced that it will be waiving the late filing fee of EUR100 that was otherwise applicable for the entire period from 1 April to 4 May, 2020.

The FIAU stated in its notice to subject persons, that this is being done because it recognises that due to the various measures that several Subject Persons have to implement in response to the worldwide pandemic, their capability and efficiency in responding to regulatory submissions may be impacted.

The FIAU will be monitoring the situation with respect to the Coronavirus spread, and may further extend the deadline for submission of the REQ if this is necessary.
