The Employment and Training Corporation (ETC) and Identity Malta (IM) has introduced a one-stop shop application service for Third Country Nationals (TCNs) seeking to reside in Malta for the purpose of work.
This means that a single simplified procedure for Third Country Nationals (excluding those who fall within a number of specific categories and who will continue to follow the two separate procedures as per current regulations) will require the submission of only one application to the Department for Citizenship and Expatriate Affairs. The submission of the application will be done by the employee, meaning that employers would not need to submit any applications for their prospective TCN employees. However employers need to endorse the application.
Our team of advisors, headed by partner Liana Falzon ([email protected]), provides advice on all immigration, residence and relocation issues. The firm’s tax team headed by Stephen Balzan ([email protected]) and Elaine Camilleri ([email protected]) provides support in connection with tax matters, thus providing a comprehensive support to our private clients.
