By means of LN 66 of 2018, the Government of Malta has issued new rules which are aimed at providing assistance to disadvantaged persons to start their own business.

The manner in which such assistance will be provided will be prescribed by guidelines which are still to be issued by Malta Enterprise.  The regulations came into force on the 1st January 2018 and applications to benefit from such assistance must reach Malta Enterprise by not later than the end of this year.
