At ACT we provide tailor made advice and assistance to our private clients to take up residence in Malta, both from an immigration and also from a tax perspective.

We have been granted authorization by the International Tax Unit to act as an Authorized Registered Mandatory (ARM) to assist clients in preparing and submitting their applications for residence in Malta under one of the various tax residence schemes applicable to both EU and non EU nationals.

THE MALTA PERMANENT RESIDENCE PROGRAM (MPRP)

By virtue of Legal Notice 122 of 2021, the Residency Malta Agency (RMA) has issued the MPRP guidelines and application forms which provide international investors with the right to take up permanent residency in Malta on the basis of investment.

THE NOMAD RESIDENCE PROGRAM (NRP)

In June 2021, Residency Malta Agency (RMA) in collaboration with Identity Malta Agency, has launched the Nomad Residence Permit.

 

THE MALTA RETIREMENT PROGRAMME

The Malta Retirement Programme (MRP) is a programme designed to attract nationals of the EU, EEA and Switzerland who are not in an employment relationship and are in receipt of a pension as their regular source of income. 

THE GLOBAL RESIDENCE PROGRAMME

The Global Residence Programme (GRP) has been introduced for individuals who are not nationals of the EU, EEA or Switzerland. The GRP Rules confer on the successful applicant a special tax status.

(a)   Preparation and submission to The International Tax Unit of applications for residence in Malta in terms of The Malta Retirement Programme (MRP) Rules, The Global Residence Programme (GRP) Rules and The Residence Programme (TRP) Rules;

(b)   Preparation and submission of the pertinent documentation to the Department of Citizenship and Expatriates of applications to take up residence in Malta in terms of Malta’s immigration rules;
