By means of Legal Notice 57 of 2024, the Government has made a number of amendments to the above-mentioned rules.

A summary of the changes can be found below.

  1. Additional dependents of beneficiaries under the MPRP programme can be exempted from having a health insurance policy in place if they do not apply for a residence card
  2. Residency Malta Agency has the right to stop the benefits of the Programme to a beneficiary while conducting an investigation
  3. Residency Malta Agency has been empowered to exchange information with to the Commissioner for Tax and Customs
